Does my towing vehicle need to be insured?
Yes, it is a requirement that your towing vehicle has a Current Comprehensive Insurance Policy.
Proof of such policy is required to hire our caravans.

Do I have to clean the caravan before I return it?
Yes, all hire caravans need to be returned in the same condition they were hired in, otherwise a soil fee will be deducted from the bond.

Is there an age limit to hire a caravan?
Yes, you need to be over 25 years of age and under 75 years of age to be eligble for hire.

Towbar requirements?
All vehicles towing must comply with our towing capacity requirements and have a correctly rated tow bar fitted (includes tow bar rating and download capacity). The towing vehicle and tow-bar must both have a towing rating that exceeds the ATM (Atomic Mass) Rating of the Caravan.

The towing vehicle and tow-bar must both have a maximum ball-load rating that exceeds the actual ball-loading of the caravan at any time. It is the responsibility of the hirer to always ensure that they do not ever exceed any of these ratings when they have the caravan partly or fully loaded.

Note: you should regularly check that the nut attached to the tow ball is tight

Tyre pressure?
In order to safely tow a caravan, it is absolutely crucial to maintain the correct tyre pressure. This is solely dependant on the type of towing vehicle and the type of caravan.

Please consult your vehicle owners manual for reccomended tyre pressures.

Trailer plug type?
All caravans are equipped with 7-pin flat plug, however conversion plugs are available at no extra charge.

When will I get my security deposit (bond) back?
After we have completly inspected and approved the state of your return we will refund your bond. This takes approximately 2-3 working days, however in the instance we find any discrepancies we will contact you directly.
